In my first year of playing college basketball, my coach said something to me that has stuck with me ever since- “repetition penetrates the dullest of minds”. No matter the situation, this is a simple but potent truth. And when used correctly, can help you over come challenging situations, reach your athletic or professional goals, have an open heart or do the “impossible” in your endeavors.
The mind and the body work in similar ways. If you make it a part of your life to run 4 times a week or do some type of physical activity on a regular basis, your body will react to this repetition. The mind is the same way. If you feed it negative repetitive thoughts, this negativity will be actualized in reality. To put a more supportive spin on it, if you hang out and repeat positive thoughts, these thoughts will become who you are and a disposition that allows you to be all you ever wanted to be. Listen to your thoughts today. Do they move you towards an inspiring future or are they repeatedly holding you back?
